Extravelganza, there is no other fundraising event in the Tampa Bay Area that partners the dynamics of the Hillsborough Hotel/Motel and the Pinellas Chapter of the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association both of which are dedicated to creating a greater level of employee service and proficiency through the awarding of educational scholarships to qualifying hospitality/culinary students throughout the state of Florida. To date close to $500,000.00 has been raised through the auction.
This industry partnership has supported our future industry leaders by awarding scholarships to students majoring in hospitality and culinary programs throughout the state of Florida. Students over the last 13 years have attended some of the states leading hospitality programs in colleges such as, Bethune Cookman College, Florida Southern University, Florida International University, Florida State University, Hillsborough Community College, St. Leo College, St. Petersburg College, University of Central Florida and Webster University. This annual fundraiser has made a difference to these students, which will only benefit our industry in the years to come.
